Intramolecular energy transfer in heteroleptic red phosphorescent dopant materials with mixed ligand units in one molecule was studied. 1-phenylisoquinoline (piq) and phenylpyridine (ppy) moieties were introduced as ligands for Ir based phosphorescent dopants and light emission mechanism was investigated.
