The POSS supported (S)-alpha,alpha-diphenylprolinol trimethylsilyl ether catalyst was synthesized and applied in the asymmetric Michael addition reactions of aldehydes and arylnitroalkenes, providing the products in good yields with excellent enantioselectivities and good diastereoselectivities.
